These terms cover lincolnstuek.com, the games under lincolnstuek.com/games and the html worlds under lincolnstuek.com/htmls. Together I call them "the site". I am Lincoln Stuek, an individual working under my own name in California. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not, the only thing to do is not use it.
What the site is
A portfolio: a page about the websites I build, a way to book a meeting or email me, and a playground of free browser games and single-file html pages. There is nothing to buy on the site, no account to create, and no subscription.
The games and the worlds
- They are free demos. They are provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind: not that they work in your browser, not that they are bug-free, not that your progress is saved.
- They may change or disappear at any time without notice. A game that is here today may be gone tomorrow.
- Some save a small marker in your browser's local storage so they do not repeat a tutorial. That stays on your device; the privacy policy covers it.
- Every number, company and person in the html worlds is made up. Nothing there is data about anyone real.
- You may embed a game in your own site with a frame. If you do, your site's terms and privacy policy apply to your visitors, not mine.
My content
The site, its design, its words, the games, the worlds, the posters and the screenshots are mine unless credited otherwise. You may look at them, play them and share links to them. You may not copy, scrape, resell or republish them as your own, and you may not use them to train a model or build a dataset without asking me first. Client sites linked from the page belong to those clients.
What you send me
If you email me or book a call, you give me permission to reply and to keep what you sent for as long as the privacy policy says. Do not send anything you do not have the right to share. Anything you tell me about your business stays between us unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Consulting is separate
Nothing on the site is professional advice, and reading it does not make me your contractor. Any actual work, price or timeline is agreed in a separate written agreement between you and me, and that agreement, not this page, governs the work. The prices shown on the site are starting points and can change until we have agreed in writing.
Other people's sites
The site links to services and sites I do not run: Cal.com for booking, LinkedIn, the client sites in the timeline, and others. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you are there. I do not control them and am not responsible for them.
Acceptable use
Use the site as a visitor would. Do not attack it, probe it, flood it, try to get around its rate limits, send abusive or automated messages through its form or email, or interfere with anyone else using it. If you find a security problem, tell me at the address below and I will fix it; that is the whole bug bounty.
No warranty, limited liability
The site is provided as it is and as available. To the extent California law allows, I make no warranties about it, express or implied, and I am not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using it or from being unable to use it, including anything a game or world does in your browser. Where the law does not let me exclude something, my liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about them is heard in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and I both agree to that venue. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Changes
If I change something material, I will change the effective date at the top and post the new version on this page. This page is the notice; there is no mailing list. Using the site after a change means you accept the changed terms.
